§ To ask Her Majesty's Government whether the Minister of Transport may, by an Order made under Section 3 (e) of the Special Roads Act, 1949, assume the powers of exclusive lighting authority in respect of a road for which a scheme has been made under the Special Roads Act, 1949.]
§ LORD MANCROFTYes, my Lords, my right honourable friend the Minister of Transport and Civil Aviation, by an Order made under Section 3 (1) (e), I which is the one I think my noble friend 883 has in mind, of the Special Roads Act, 1949, may assume the powers of exclusive lighting authority so far as a special road is concerned for which the Minister of Transport is the road authority.
