THE EARL OF ONSLOWMy Lords, before the House adjourns, it might be for your Lordships' convenience that I made an announcement on the Whitsun recess. My right honourable friend the 1262 Lord Privy Seal has announced in another place this afternoon that we expect to adjourn for the Whitsuntide Recess on Friday, 7th June, if good progress is made with essential business. We think it desirable for the Recess to extend over two weeks. The date of reassembly will be announced later.
