My Lords, I beg to ask the Question which stands in my name on the Order Paper.

[The Question was as follows:

To ask Her Majesty's Government whether they are prepared to make a considered statement indicating the petrol stocks in this country on the 1st of May, 1957, and whether this statement will give all the relevant considerations which prevent the immediate removal of patrol rationing.]
