HL Deb 20 March 1957 vol 202 cc645-6
VISCOUNT ALEXANDER OF HILLSBOROUGH

My Lords, I beg leave to ask Her Majesty's Government a Question of which I have given private notice—namely, whether they will be in a position to make a statement on Cyprus to-day?

THE MINISTER OF STATE FOR COLONIAL AFFAIRS (THE EARL OF PERTH)

Yes, my Lords. By leave of the House, I propose to interrupt Business at some convenient moment between half-past three and four o'clock this afternoon to make a statement on Cyprus similar to that which my right honourable friend the Colonial Secretary is to make in another place at about that time.
