HL Deb 14 March 1957 vol 202 c563

3.5 p.m.

THE EARL OF WOOLTON

My Lords, with your Lordships' permission, I should like to postone until this day week the Question which stands in my name on the Order Paper, namely: To ask Her Majesty's Government whether, in view of the dissatisfaction expressed on all sides of the House and in the Press at the reply given on behalf of Her Majesty's Government to the questions addressed to them on 26th February concerning the delay in ratifying the 1949 Geneva Conventions, they will take an early opportunity to introduce into the House legislation to implement our honourable international undertakings to ratify these Conventions.
