HL Deb 10 July 1957 vol 204 c922

3.10 p.m.

THE FIRST LORD OF THE ADMIRALTY (THE EARL OF SELKIRK)

My Lords, I beg to move the Motion which stands in the name of my noble Leader.

Moved, That Standing Order No. 35 be considered in order to its being dispensed with for the purpose of giving precedence on Tuesday next to the Motion standing in the name of the Lord Killearn over the Orders of the Day relating to Public Bills.—(The Earl of Selkirk.)

VISCOUNT ALEXANDER OF HILLSBOROUGH

My Lords, I should like to be quite clear on this Motion. As I understand it, it means that, as promised, Lord Killearn's Motion will come on as first Business of that day, and that Government Business will follow.

THE EARL OF SELKIRK

My Lords, I think that that is correct.

On Question, Motion agreed to, and ordered accordingly.
