HL Deb 30 October 1956 vol 199 cc1179-80

Clause 20, page 29, line 36, after ("shall") insert ("in any action brought by virtue of this Part of this Act").

LORD MANCROFT

My Lords, this is a small technical point on Clause 20 relating to proof of facts, and this Amendment is necessary in order to ensure that the presumption in favour of the plaintiff. which is set out in paragraph (b), and which is new, shall not be made in proceedings brought under the old Act of 1911. I beg to move that this House doth agree with the Commons in the said Amendment.—

Moved, That this House doth agree with the Commons in the said Amendment.—(Lord Mancroft.)

On Question, Motion agreed to.
