HL Deb 16 May 1956 vol 197 c454
LORD GLYN

had given Notice of his intention to ask Her Majesty's Government, Whether they can make any statement concerning the organisation of Her Majesty's Oversea Civil Service. The noble Lord said: My Lords, I should like to say that to-day, at half past twelve, I was asked to allow this Question to be postponed until tomorrow. I wish to apologise to those noble Lords who I know Lave come here to-day in regard to this Question. Owing to the fact that a statement cannot be made in another place to-day, my Question has to be postponed. I much regret that it has to be postponed.

THE MINISTER WITHOUT PORTFOLIO (THE EARL OF MUNSTER)

My Lords, I do not disagree with what the noble Lord has said. It is correct that I shall be making a statement tomorrow afternoon on the reorganisation of Her Majesty's Oversea Civil Service.
