§ PARLIAMENTARY CONSTITUENCIES (NOTTINGHAM) ORDER, 1956
§ THE JOINT PARLIAMENTARY UNDER-SECRETARY OF STATE FOR THE HOME DEPARTMENT (LORD MANCROFT)My Lords, these Draft Orders give effect without modification to the recommendations made by the Boundary Commission for England in their Report submitted to my right honourable friend the Secretary of State on January 26, 1956. The Orders will not affect any Parliamentary election until the next General Election after they come into force. The Orders are not wholly without controversy, but they make only very minor adjustments of constituency boundaries to conform with recent alterations of local government or ward boundaries. With the permission of the House, I will 5 follow the usual procedure in these cases and move them formally. I beg to move.
§ Moved, That the Draft Orders reported from the Special Orders Committee on Wednesday last, be approved.—(Lord Mancroft.)
§ On Question, Motion agreed to.
