HL Deb 17 July 1956 vol 198 c1066
EARL FORTESCUE

My Lords, I am afraid that we have rather a strenuous Report stage of the Road Traffic Bill before us and we have agreed, through the usual channels, to adjourn for dinner at 7 o'clock and resume again at 8.15 p.m., when we shall sit until 10 o'clock. If we have not finished by that hour, we shall conclude the Report stage next Thursday, when we shall meet at 2 o'clock. We hope to finish the Report stage by 3.45 p.m., when the Royal Garden Party, begins. We shall take the Third Reading on Monday next at half-past two, if we do not finish the Report stage to-day.
