My Lords, my noble friend the Lord Chairman of Committees has asked me to apologise to your Lordships because he has had to leave the Chamber to preside over a meeting of the Unopposed Bills Committee. On his behalf, therefore, I beg to move the first Motion standing in his name on the Order Paper.

Moved, That a Standing Orders Committee be appointed, and that the Lords following, with the Lord Chancellor and the Chairman of Committees, be named of the Committee:
