HL Deb 01 February 1955 vol 190 c818

3.23 p.m.

LORD MOYNIHAN

My Lords, I beg to ask the Question which stands in my name on the Order Paper.

[The Question was as follows:

To ask Her Majesty's Government whether they have any information regarding orders in respect of the continuation of training given to antiaircraft regiments whose future remains in doubt as a result of the recent abolition of Anti-Aircraft Command.]

EARL FORTESCUE

My Lords, orders have been issued that training in Territorial Army units of Anti-Aircraft Command will be entirely voluntary until such time as it has been decided which units should be retained. This training will normally be confined to attendances at Territorial Army centres.
