HL Deb 07 December 1955 vol 194 c1196

3.38 p.m.

THE JOINT PARLIAMENTARY UNDER-SECRETARY OF STATE FOR THE HOME DEPARTMENT (LORD MANCROFT)

My Lords, this Order does not differ in any important respect from that which your Lordships approved about this time last year. Such minor changes as there are have been agreed between the trade associations, trade unions and employers' associations concerned, and have given rise to no point of controversy. Accordingly, I beg to move that the Order be approved.

Moved That the Draft Lace Industry (Scientific Research Levy) Order, 1955, reported from the Special Orders Committee on the 23rd of November last, be approved.—(Lord Mancroft).

On Question, Motion agreed to.
