HL Deb 18 May 1954 vol 187 c641

2.35 p.m.

THE CHAIRMAN OF COMMITTEES (THE EARL OF DROGHEDA)

My Lords, I wish to ask your Lordships to make an Amendment to Standing Order 154 in the Standing Orders relating to Private Bills. This is in order to enable two noble Lords to be added to the Personal Bills Committee, in order to enable us to have the advice of noble Lords who are conversant with the Law of Scotland. There are two Bills relating to Scotland upon which we want their help. I beg to move the Motion standing in my name.

Moved, That the following Amendment be made in the Standing Orders relative to Private and Provisional Orders Confirmation Bills, etc., vizt.:—

Standing Order 154, line 2, leave out ("four") and insert ("six").—(The Earl of Drogheda.)

On Question, Motion agreed to.
