HL Deb 27 July 1954 vol 189 c121
EARL JOWITT

My Lords, I beg to ask Her Majesty's Government the Question of which I have given them private notice—namely, whether they can make a statement about the latest incident connected with the shooting down of the British aircraft off Hainan Island.

THE MINISTER OF STATE, FOREIGN OFFICE (THE MARQUESS OF READING)

My Lords, if I may, I will follow the same procedure as we followed in the same connection yesterday and make a statement as soon as possible after half past three, simultaneously with that made in another place.
