Clause 3, page 3, line 26, leave out from beginning to ("a") in line 28, and insert— ("(3) Without prejudice to any other discretion of theirs in relation to the grant or renewal of licences under the said section fifty-seven, or to any right of appeal conferred by subsection (6) of that section,")

Clause 3, page 3, line 29, leave out from beginning to ("refuse") in line 30.

My Lords, the Amendment at page 3, line 26, and the following two, and also the Amendments to Clause 4 at page 5, line 4, and at page 5, line 7, all hang together. They are drafting Amendments which we are making in order to remove a discrepancy between the Slaughterhouses Bill and the Slaughter of Animals (Amendment) Bill. I beg to move that this House do agree with the Commons in the said Amendments.
