Clause 10, page 10, line 42, at end insert— ("(9) For the purposes of the last foregoing subsection any prohibition under subsection (4) of the last foregoing section shall be treated as a refusal of a registration under that section.")

My Lords, this new subsection was moved by the Government in another place and confers a right of appeal on owners of private slaughterhouses, who are prohibited under subsection (4) of Clause 9 from slaughtering certain types of animals. I beg to move that this House do agree with the Commons in the said Amendment.
