HL Deb 20 January 1954 vol 185 c300
LORD OGMORE

My Lords, I beg to ask the Question which stands in my name on the Order Paper.

[The Question was as follows:

To ask Her Majesty's Government whether they have any statement to make on the recent disaster to a Comet aircraft.]

THE PAYMASTER GENERAL (THE EARL OF SELKIRK)

My Lords, the House will be aware that my right honourable friend the Minister of Transport and Civil Aviation went to Italy on Sunday and returned yesterday evening. After Question Time in another place, he will be making a statement on the result of his visit, and with your Lordships' permission I will repeat that statement in this House somewhere between half-past three and four o'clock.
