§ Second Schedule, page 13, line 26, at end insert—("14 & 15 Geo. 6. c. 53. The Midwives Act, 1951…In section thirty-four, subsection (4)").
THE LORD CHANCELLORMy Lords, this Amendment is consequential on the new Second Schedule, and is, in fact, a drafting Amendment. I beg to move that this House do agree with the Commons in the said Amendment.
§ Moved, That this House do agree with the Commons in the said Amendment.—(The Lord Chancellor.)
§ On Question, Motion agreed to.
THE LORD CHANCELLORMy Lords, now I have to move a further Amendment to the Bill. The necessity for it arises through an oversight. It is a consequential Amendment, due to the 1010 fact that it is no longer contemplated that there will be an Order in Council, as provided for in the original Bill. I beg to move that this Amendment be agreed to.
§
Amendment moved—
Clause 10, page 6, lire 29, leave out ("an Order in Council under section two of this Act or").—(The Lord Chancellor.)
§ On Question, Amendment agreed to.
§ Bill returned to the Commons.
