HL Deb 21 October 1952 vol 178 cc775-6

2.36 p.m.

LORD MACDONALD OF GWAENYSGOR

My Lords, I beg to ask the Question which stands in my name on the Order Paper.

[The Question was as follows:

To ask Her Majesty's Government whether they are now in a position to make any statement concerning the Ridley Report on National Policy for the use of Fuel and Power Resources (Command 8647).]

THE SECRETARY OF STATE FOR THE CO-ORDINATION OF TRANSPORT, FUEL AND POWER (LORD LEATHERS)

My Lords, the Minister of Fuel and Power will be making a statement on this subject in another place next week, and I would ask the noble Lord to await that statement.

LORD MACDONALD OF GWAENYSGOR

Could we have the statement repeated in this House next week?

LORD LEATHERS

Yes. It will be rather a full statement. It can either take the form of a statement, or perhaps the noble Lord might raise it in another way.
