THE LORD CHANCELLOR had given notice of his intention to move, That an humble Address be presented to Her Majesty under section seven of the Emergency Laws (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act, 1947, praying that the Defence Regulations specified in the Schedulehereto, which would otherwise expire on the tenth day of December, nineteen hundred and fifty-two, be continued in force for a further period of one year until the tenth day of December, nineteen hundred and fifty-three. The noble and learned Lord said: My Lords, as I said in opening this debate earlier this afternoon, I do not propose to move this Motion to-day. It will stand over until a further occasion. The same remarks apply also to the next Motion which is printed on the Order Paper.
