My Lords, I have the honour to present a Message from the King, signed with his own hand. The Message is as follows:

"I have received your Address praying that the provisions of the Shops Act, 1950, relating to general closing hours which have effect only as respects the winter months be continued in force for the further period of one year until the tenth day of December, nineteen hundred and fifty-two.

I will give directions accordingly."
