HL Deb 21 June 1950 vol 167 c875

THE DUKE OF SUTHERLAND had given notice that he would ask the following question:

[To ask His Majesty's Government what action, if any, they propose to take on the Gowers Report to support the findings of the Committee on English country houses classed as buildings of historic interest and scheduled as ancient monuments.]

The noble Duke said: My Lords, I understand that His Majesty's Government are prepared to make a statement on the Gowers Report to-morrow afternoon. Therefore I do not propose to ask my Question to-day.
