HL Deb 26 April 1950 vol 166 c1155

2.40 p.m.

LORD SHEPHERD

My Lords, before we start the business on the Order Paper, may I he permitted to inform the House that, in view of the number of speakers to to-day's debate, it has been arranged through the usual channels that we shall adjourn the debate at seven o'clock this evening until Tuesday next, May 2, when we shall hope to resume it after the business now on the Order Paper for that day (which is not expected to take more than two hours or so) has been completed?
