§ 2.45 p.m.
§ LORD SHEPHERDMy Lords, on behalf of my noble friend, Lord Morrison, I beg to move that the Special Order, as reported from the Special Orders Committee on the 27th of July last, be approved.
§ Moved, That the Special Order, as reported from the Special Orders Committee on the 27th of July last, be approved.—(Lord Shepherd.)
LORD CLYDESMUIRMy Lords, this Order does the same for Scotland as the other does for England. Therefore, I hope your Lordships will give it approval. I should like to take the opportunity of saying that I hope that the noble Lord, Lord Morrison, who attends to Scottish affairs in this House, will soon be with us again, and that we shall have good news of his progress in hospital.
§ LORD SHEPHERDMy Lords, I will forward to my noble friend, Lord Morrison, the words that have just been spoken by the noble Lord. I received a letter from my noble friend, Lord Morrison, this morning. Perhaps your Lordships will permit me to quote two passages from it:
I have now left hospital and am making good progress. … A period of convalescence will be necessary and, if all goes well, I hope to be back in my place about the last week in November.
§ On Question, Motion agreed to.
