HL Deb 23 May 1949 vol 162 c975

6.49 p.m.

LORD AMMON

My Lords, before we adjourn, I have an announcement to make. It will be necessary to ask your Lordships to sit after dinner to-morrow, as a very large number of noble Lords have indicated their desire to take part in the Second Reading debate on the Iron and Steel Bill which will, we hope, be concluded on Wednesday. A dinner adjournment will be taken to-morrow between 7.30 p.m. and 8.45 p.m. It is hoped that it will not be necessary to sit after dinner on Wednesday also in order to conclude the debate.
