HL Deb 09 November 1948 vol 159 cc269-70
LORD WALKDEN

My Lords, my noble friend Lord Huntingdon is indisposed, and will be unable to be in your Lordships' House this week. He asks me to apologise to your Lordships for any inconvenience which will be caused in consequence of the postponement of the Second Reading of the Prevention of Damage by Pests Bill, which he was to have moved on Thursday next. It will now be taken on the following Thursday. We do not propose that your Lordships should meet for Public Business on Thursday next.

LORD LLEWELLIN

My Lords, we all regret the illness of the noble Earl, Lord Huntingdon. We shall, of course, be glad to comply with the wishes of the Government, and are agreeable that this Bill shall be postponed until Thursday week.
