THE LORD PRIVY SEAL (VISCOUNT ADDISON)

My Lords, I have to report to your Lordships that, in accordance with the Order of the House of Monday, April 26, the most reverend Primate the Archbishop of Canterbury, the noble and learned Viscount the Lord Chancellor, the noble Marquess, Lord Salisbury, the noble Viscount, Lord Samuel, the noble Earl, Lord Rosebery and myself as Lord Privy Seal and Leader of your Lordships' House, waited upon His Majesty at Buckingham Palace on Thursday, and presented to him your Lordships' Address of Congratulation to Their Majesties on the twenty-fifth Anniversary of their Wedding Day. His Majesty, who was accompanied by Her Majesty the Queen, was graciously pleased to give us the following Message signed by his own hand:

"The Queen and I thank you most sincerely for your congratulation on the twenty-fifth anniversary of our wedding. On this happy occasion it is particularly pleasing to receive this further expression of the affection and loyalty which you have constantly shown towards us, and we both greatly appreciate the warmth of your Address."
