My Lords, I beg leave to present a Petition on behalf of certain persons residing in England and Wales: That upon any consideration being given by your Lordships' House to proposals for the reform of the composition of the House of Lords your Lordships will take due notice of the present absence of women with seat, place and voice in the Peers' House of Parliament; and that your Lordships will be pleased to require that in any recommendations which may be made by your Lordships to alter the present composition of your Lordships' House, women shall not be precluded from having seat, place and voice therein only by virtue of their sex.
