HL Deb 30 June 1948 vol 157 cc169-70

6.39 p.m.

LORD AMMON

My Lords, before the House adjourns, I wish to take the opportunity to inform your Lordships of an important change in our programme of Business for next week. In order that both Houses of Parliament should have the opportunity of expressing their views, before it is signed, upon the Marshall Aid Pact, which is to be signed on Tuesday evening next, it has been necessary to transpose the business arranged for Tuesday and Wednesday next in your Lordships' House. We shall take the Marshall Aid Pact Motion or Tuesday, instead of Wednesday, and shall open the Committee stage of the Gas Bill on Wednesday, July 7, instead of Tuesday next, July 6. The House meets on both days at 2.30 p.m.
