Clause 58, page 37, line 21, at end insert— ("'Large burgh' has the same meaning as in the Local Government (Scotland) Act, 1947.")

My Lords, the words "large burgh" have no technical significance, apart from the Statutes in which they occur, and it is desirable to define them by reference to the definition in the Local Government (Scotland) Act, 1947. I beg to move that this House do agree with the Commons in the said Amendment.
