HL Deb 30 June 1948 vol 157 c103

Clause 33, page 23, line 47, at end insert ("and for enabling the Secretary of State to be satisfied that suitable arrangements have been or will be made for the child's reception and welfare in the country to which they are going").

THE LORD CHANCELLOR

I should like to point out that Clause 33 ought to go in here, because page 23, line 47, is part of Clause 33. Also there is a clerical error: in the third line of the new Amendment your Lordships will see the word "child's"; it ought to be "children's." I beg to move.

Moved, That this House do agree with the Commons in the said Amendment.—(The Lord Chancellor.)

On Question, Motion agreed to.
