§ LORD AMMONMy Lords, it may be convenient for me to inform your Lordships that, if all outstanding business is disposed of, we now propose that this House should adjourn for the Summer Recess on Thursday, July 29, until Monday, September 13. Power already exists for the Lord Chancellor, on representations being made by the Government, to call the House together at an earlier date if in the public interest such a course should prove necessary. It is expected that when the House reassembles after the Recess on Monday, September 13, Prorogation will take place. The new Session will be opened on Tuesday, September 14.
