HL Deb 15 July 1948 vol 157 c867
THE LORD PRIVY SEAL AND PAYMASTER-GENERAL (VISCOUNT ADDISON)

My Lords, I beg to move the Motion standing in my name on the Order Paper.

Moved, That Standing Orders Nos. XXI and XXXIX be considered in order to their being suspended until the House adjourns for the Recess, and that Government Business have, except with the consent of the Government, precedence over other Notices and Orders of the Day.—(Viscount Addison.)

VISCOUNT SWINTON

My Lords, I understand that conversations have taken place regarding next week's business, and that the debate on Civil Aviation will not be affected.

VISCOUNT ADDISON

That is so. This will not make any difference at all to that debate.

On Question, Motion agreed to, and ordered accordingly.
