My Lords, I beg leave to introduce a Bill for the amendment of the Constitution of New Zealand and to move that it be read a first time. I hope that in view of the exceptional nature of this measure your Lordships will be willing to suspend Standing Orders in respect of this Bill and take it through all stages as first Order on Tuesday next.
