HL Deb 15 May 1947 vol 147 cc744-5
LORD HENDERSON

My Lords, in moving, on behalf of my noble friend the Leader of the House, this Motion, which applies solely to the National Health Service (Scotland) Bill this afternoon, I should add that the Second Reading debate on the Transport Bill will be adjourned on Tuesday evening next and will be taken as the first business on Wednesday, so that any Notice put down for that day, other than starred questions, will be taken after the conclusion of that day's debate on the Bill. I beg to move.

Moved, That Standing Orders Nos. XXI and XXXIX be considered in order to their being dispensed with for the purpose of giving precedence to the Report stage of the National Health Service (Scotland) Bill and in order to take the Bill through its remaining stages.—(Lord Henderson.)

On Question, Motion agreed to, and ordered accordingly.
