HL Deb 14 May 1947 vol 147 c695

2.35 p.m.

Bill read 3a, with the Amendments.

THE CHAIRMAN OF COMMITTEES (THE EARL OF DROGHEDA)

My Lords, there is a small Amendment which the promoters desire to insert in this Bill. It is hardly more than a verbal Amendment. It is to add words in line 16 of page 3 so that the beneficiaries under the Bill may include not only persons engaged in but also those who are concerned with the manufacture of textiles.

Amendment moved— Page 3, line i6, after "in" insert "or concerned with."—[The Earl of Drogheda.]

On Question, Amendment agreed to.

Bill passed, and returned to the Commons.
