§ THE LORD CHANCELLOR (VISCOUNT JOWITT)My Lords, I beg to move the Motion standing in my name on the Order paper.
§ Moved, That a Committee of six Lords be appointed to join with a Committee of the House of Commons as a Joint Committee in the present Session on Consolidation Bills, and all Bills for re-enacting in the form in which they apply to Scotland the provisions of an existing Statute:
§ That the Lords following be named of the Committee:
- M. Reading,
- L. O'Hagan,
- L. Addington,
- L. Marley,
- L. Tweedsmuir,
- L. Shepherd:
§ That such Committee have power to agree with the Committee of the House of Commons in the appointment of a Chairman.—(The Lord Chancellor.)
§ On Question, Motion agreed to: Ordered, That a Message be sent to the House of Commons to acquaint them therewith, and to request them to appoint six Members of that House to be joined with the said Committee.
