HL Deb 12 February 1947 vol 145 c616
LORD DENHAM

My Lords, before the House adjourns, could I ask my noble friend whether he has any statement to make about the sitting of the House on Monday, and about the debate which is on the Order Paper for that date?

LORD AMMON

My Lords, I thank the noble Lord for giving me an opportunity of telling the House that Lord Altrincham is postponing his Motion on Palestine, which appears on the Order Paper as the only business for Monday afternoon next, February 17. I think your Lordships will not be unduly perturbed to know that the House will not now meet for public business that afternoon. Therefore, the next meeting of the House for public business after to-morrow, Thursday, will be on Tuesday, February 18, at 2.30 p.m., when the principal business will be the resumption of the Committee stage of the Companies Bill. There will be a Royal Commission in the course of the sitting.

LORD DENHAM

I am much obliged.
