§ LORD AMMONMy Lords, this Bill is one of an urgent character. It passed through all its stages in another place with general approval yesterday, and we hope your Lordships will agree: to the suspension of Standing Orders on Tuesday next so that it may be taken as first Order and passed through all its stages. It is a single clause Bill, the object of which is to add to the numbers of Parliamentary Secretaries to the Treasury in order to establish a new post of Economic Parliamentary Secretary to the Treasury. I beg to move that this Bill be read a first time.
