§ LORD AMMONMy Lords, I have been asked to make the following announcement with regard to future business. First, it will be of particular interest to Scottish Peers to know that it has been arranged to take the Committee stage of the National Health Service (Scotland) Bill on Monday, May 12. As your Lordships are no doubt already aware, the Second Reading of that Bill stands on the Order Paper for debate on Thursday next, May 1. Then, for the general information of your Lordships, I should say that the debate on the Food Situation, on the Motion standing on the Order Paper for Wednesday, May 7, is likely to extend 124 over the next day, Thursday, May 8. This is to meet the expressed wish of many of your Lordships, who have notified the usual channels of their desire to take part.
