Constitution of Regional Hospital Boards.

A Regional Hospital Board shall consist of a chairman appointed by the Minister and such other members so appointed as the Minister thinks fit, and the members shall include— (c) persons appointed after consultation with the local health authorities in the said area; and (d) persons appointed after consultation with such other organizations as appear to the Minister to be concerned; and the original members of the Board shall also include persons appointed after consultation with such organizations as the Minister may recognize as representative of voluntary hospitals in the said area.

At least two of the members of the Board shall be persons with experience in mental health services.
