Order of the Day for the consideration of Commons Message of yesterday, read.

THE SECRETARY OF STATE FOR DOMINION AFFAIRS (VISCOUNT ADDISON)

My Lords, I beg to move the Resolution which stands in my name. I am sure that the appointment of these very distinguished members of this House will meet with your Lordships' approval.

Moved, That a Committee of six Lords be appointed to join with the Committee of the House of Commons to consider the said Bill as Mentioned in the said Message, and that the Lords following be named of the Committee:

ߞ(Viscount Addison).

On Question, Motion agreed to.

Ordered, That such Committee have power to agree with the Committee of the Commons in the appointment of a Chairman. Then a Message was ordered to be sent to the Commons to inform them of the appointment of the said Committee, and to propose that the Joint Committee should meet in Committee Room A on Friday the 25th inst. at half-past eleven o'clock.

Leave given to the Joint Committee to hear parties interested by themselves, their counsel, agents and witnesses, so far as the Committee think fit. Evidence taken before the Joint Committee from time to time to be printed, but no copies to be delivered out except to members of the Committee and to such other persons as the Committee shall think fit until further order.
