HL Deb 26 November 1946 vol 144 c331
THE SECRETARY OF STATE FOR DOMINION AFFAIRS (VISCOUNT ADDISON)

My Lords, certain of your Lordships have approached me on the matter mentioned in the Motion standing in my name, and I think it would be to the general convenience if the Committee on Procedure were asked to review the matter again.

Moved, That the question of the position of starred questions on the Order Paper and their daily number be again referred to the Committee on Procedure of the House.—(Viscount Addison.)

VISCOUNT CRANBORNE

My Lords, I do not want to say anything to-day. The time for discussion will be later, when the Committee reports. If noble Lords have raised this matter, it is much more satisfactory that it should go to the Committee on Procedure.

VISCOUNT SAMUEL

My Lords, for my part I warmly welcome the Motion of the noble Viscount, and I am glad to know that this matter is again to be considered.

On Question, Motion agreed to, and ordered accordingly.
