HL Deb 15 May 1946 vol 141 cc268-9
LORD HATHERTON

I beg to ask the question standing in my name.

[The question was as follows:

To ask His Majesty's Government whether provision will be made for the inclusion of members of the House of Lords in the forthcoming visit of Members of Parliament to H.M.S. Vanguard, and if the date and place of this visit can now be stated.]

LORD WINSTER

I have been asked to reply. The answer is Yes. The visit will take place on May 31 when H.M.S. Vanguard will be at Liverpool. Noble Lords who wish to go are requested to notify the Parliamentary Secretary to the Admiralty as soon as possible.

LORD HATHERTON

In thanking the noble Lord for that very pleasing reply, may I say, on behalf of certain noble Lords, how grateful we are to the Admiralty for affording us this opportunity?
