HL Deb 01 May 1946 vol 140 c1009
EARL HOWE

My Lords, I beg to ask the question standing in my name.

[The question was as follows:

To ask His Majesty's Government whether it is intended to make any special arrangement to enable the children of members of both Houses of Parliament to see the Victory procession.]

THE LORD CHANCELLOR (LORD JOWITT)

My Lords, no special arrangements are being made to enable children of members of either House to see the Victory procession. A certain amount of accommodation in the small reserved enclosures in the Mall has been allocated to both Houses of Parliament, and special standing places in Bridge Street will also be reserved for them. It will be open to members of the Legislature who receive tickets to utilize one of these for a child.
