HL Deb 22 January 1946 vol 138 c948
THE SECRETARY OF STATE FOR DOMINION AFFAIRS (VISCOUNT ADDISON)

My Lords, as no judicial sitting is to take place on Thursday of this week, the House will meet at half-past two on that day instead of at four o'clock. I am well aware that your Lordships, as a rule, prefer not to disturb the usual hour at which the House meets, but on this occasion as it was possible to make known the change in advance, and particularly in view of the inclement though seasonable weather, it was thought that your Lordships would welcome the opportunity of meeting at an earlier hour.
