HL Deb 29 November 1945 vol 138 c164

4.40 p.m.

Read 3a (according to Order).

Clause 2 [Power to extend period for making grants and loans]:

THE PARLIAMENTARY SECRETARY OF THE MINISTRY OF AGRICULTURE AND FISHERIES (THE EARL OF HUNTINGDON) moved, in subsection (2), to substitute "four days" for "forty days." where those words occur for the last time. The noble Earl said: My Lords, this is purely to correct a clerical or printing error, and for that reason I hope that it will be agreed to. I beg to move.

Amendment moved— Page 2, line 30, leave out ("forty") and insert ("four")—(The Earl of Huntingdon).

On Question, Amendment agreed to.

Bill passed, and returned to the Commons.
