§ THE SECRETARY OF STATE FOR DOMINION AFFAIRS (VISCOUNT ADDISON)My Lords, it has been reported to me by the Lord Chancellor that the Law Lords will not be sitting again until Monday, having finished an appeal. Your Lordships will be aware that the arrangement recently arrived at, that we should meet on Thursdays at 4 o'clock, was in order that the Court might have a full session on that day. That will not be required tomorrow, and, as we have before us the Committee stage of a very important Bill, which may take a considerable time, I think it may be, for your Lordships' convenience—though the notice is, unfortunately, very short, for which I am sorry, but for which I am not responsible—that we should meet tomorrow at 2.30 o'clock, the same time as today. I hope that, notwithstanding the short notice, that will meet your Lordships' convenience.
§ VISCOUNT SWINTONMy Lords, I think that is a very good arrangement, because there is a great deal on the Order Paper tomorrow. In spite of the short notice, it will certainly be for the convenience of the House.
