HL Deb 20 December 1945 vol 138 c946
LORD AMMON

My Lords, in moving that this House do now adjourn, I should inform your Lordships that our next effective meeting for public business will be, as already announced, on Tuesday, January 22, when our principal business will be the Second Reading stage of the Bank of England Bill to which we have just given a First Reading. As this Bill is a hybrid Bill, however, it will be necessary to hold a purely formal meeting on January 11, to receive the Report of the Examiners on the Bill formally and to appoint Tuesday, January 22, as the date of the Second Reading. I beg to move that this House do now adjourn.

Moved, That the House do now adjourn.—(Lord Ammon.)

On Question, Motion agreed to.

House adjourned at twenty minutes before one o'clock.
